LAHORE - Secretary General Pakistan Badminton Federation Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri inaugurated National Badminton Academy at the hall situated at 55 Lawrence Road Lahore. Mr. Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri gave comprehensive briefing at the news conference he addressed prior to performing the opening ceremony. Initially 10 to 12 boys and girls between the ages of 14 to 19 years will start regular training from June 24. Tayyab Sohail and Muhammad Naeem both internationally qualified coaches will impart training. From June 25 to July 10, Pakistan Under-19 players will join the training camp. Later on scope of the academy will be enhanced and basic courses will be conducted for schools and their coaches. National teams of men and ladies will also receive training here. Entire expenditure on running the academy will be borne by Pakistan Badminton Federation. It is for the first time in the history of Pakistan badminton that a National Badminton Academy has been established credit of which goes to the support of Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri, Secretary General PBF and the untiring efforts of Syed Naqi Mohsin SVP PBF.
