KARACHI - Five people including a policeman were gunned down in various incidents occurred in different areas of the City here on Wednesday. As per detail, a 40-year old Sub-Inspector Sadiq was gunned down by unknown assailants near his residence in the limits of Shahra-e-Faisal Police Station. Police said the victim was resident of Laal Flat and currently posted in police headquarter. The victim was on his way to home on a motorbike when a bullet riddled in his neck. The residents of the area took him to the Abbasi Shaheed hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The case was registered against unknown culprits. In another incident, two young men shot dead by unknown assailants at Afghan Camp graveyard in the limits of Suhrab Goth Police Station. Police said that the victims were leaving for somewhere else on a motorcycle when four unidentified armed men tried to intercept them and ultimately gunned down at refusal. The robbers managed to flee from the scene. The victims were immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where they succumbed injuries during treatment. According to the Police information, the victims belonged to Magsi community and might have been killed over any tribal dispute. He said the deceased were residents of Gadap area. The murdered were identified as 35-year-old Muhammad Hanif, S/o Ghulam Farid and 30-year old Nihar Magsi s/o Maggan Magsi. The bodies were handed over to their families after autopsy. Meanwhile, a-40-year old Shafqat Inaam was crushed to death by a speedy bus near Barf Khana stop, Malir. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities. Police impounded the vehicle while the driver managed to flee. Separately, a 30-year-old Sameer Khan drowned to death when he was having a bath in a Nullah near Northern bypass. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
