Reports in a section of press that the President in a meeting in Karachi on Wednesday directed to give extra water to Sindh at the expense of Punjab are not correct. Clarifying this spokesperson of the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said that water distribution is made by IRSA with the consent the provinces after taking into account requirements of provinces, water availability and the discharge level at various points. He said that due to dip discharge at Guddu had reduced and to meet the situation IRSA had already taken a number of decisions.
