AHMEDPUR EAST - Bahawalpur National Awami Party (BNAP) Quaid Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi will address a big public meeting in Chistian, Bahawalnagar District on July 11. This was announced by BNAP Central President Farooq Azam Malik while talking to newsmen. He told that the BNAP manifesto was being drafted while its Central Secretariat will be established in Dera Nawab Sahib. Responding a query Farooq Azam Malik said that the BNAP leadership has received a large number of requests for holding public meetings from different areas of former Bahawalpur province. Lashing out at both the PPP-led federal and the PML-N Punjab governments, he alleged that both were neglecting former Bahawlpur province and presenting fake budget data to mislead the masses. The BNAP President claimed that masses of Bahawalpur are now fed up with the policies of both major political parties and will reject them in the next general elections. He categorically stated that people of Bahawalpur will not accept the supremacy of Takhat-e-Multan after Takhat-e-Lahore and blamed Premier Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani for lobbying for the creation of a Saraiki province just to get the slot of Chief Ministership for his son. Farooq Azam Malik proclaimed serious charges against the Prime Minister and said that he was playing double game in South Punjab. Revealing the facts, he stated that in the wedding ceremony of President PML-F Punjab Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mehmood in Lahore, Premier Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had promised Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi to back the demand for former provincial status of Bahawalpur but after the passage of few days, he announced that the PPP would include the demand for the creation of Saraiki province in its manifesto. He asked Premier to end hypocrisy or he will have to face the music. BNAP President expressed his full confidence in the leadership of Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi.
