A book 'Aks-e-Rahat' by young poetess Asma Rahat was launched during a ceremony organised by Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) here on Monday.

Prof Dr Ehsan Akbar presided over the ceremony. Aks-e-Rahat is the first poetic book of Asma Rahat. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Ehsan Akbar said that although Asma was a new comer in the field of poetry yet she was not less than any poet in imagination and selection of words. He said that she would be able to make her place in literature if she continued her struggle.  Renowned poet Aftab Zia said that Asma revealed many aspects including social issues which showed her mental adultness. Naseem Saher was of the view that Asma Rahat also represented the woman of our society in her poetry.–Staff Reporter
