ISLAMABAD -Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman Nadeem Hassan Monday said all the security arrangements were in place to conduct the 32nd National Games in smooth, peaceful and befitting manner.

Nadeem, who is also the chairman of National Games organising committee, said Prime Minister had directed to promote sports and they would not compromise on transparent funds utilization during the Games.

“All the athletes who are performing in the Games will be provided the best available facilities and we have made excellent accommodation arrangements for female athletes,” he added.

During his visit to Pakistan Sports Board, Nadeem, accompanied by PSB DG Syed Amir Hamza Gilani, POA interim committee chairman Asif Bajwa, secretary Rana Mujahid and interim committee member Senator Ghulam Ali, said: “After the tragic incident occurred on Nanga Parbat base camp foreign tourists, we have further toughen the security measures and we will also utilize intelligence services.”

Speaking on the occasion, Rana Mujahid said: “We are holding the Games as per the charter of International Olympic Committee and we are well wishers of sports. We want to give maximum sporting facilities to the sporting fraternity.”

Sharing his views, Amir Hamza Gilani said: “On the directives of government and Supreme Court, we are making sure to implement National Sports Policy and PSB will do whatever it can for the smooth conduct of the 32nd National Games.”
