ISLAMABAD  - Senior Member Polish Oil and Gas Company, Przemyslaw Krogulec with 5-member delegation visited Board of Investment and met with MOS/Chairman, Board of Investment Dr. Miftah Ismail here on Wednesday.

The Chairman, BOI has informed them that Pakistan is committed to provide an investment friendly regime to investors by offering lucrative fiscal incentives and conducive business environment. Polish Oil and Gas Company having its Head Office in Warsaw, opened its Pakistan Branch Office in Islamabad in September 1997, for oil & gas exploration in Pakistan and invested over USD 100 million and is committed to invest in two more drilling wells in Kartahar,according to a statement issued.

They also looking for a Joint Venture partner of Government sector in the Oil & Gas sector. Przemyslaw Krogulec thanked the BOI for cooperation and providing an opportunity to discuss the available investment opportunities in oil & gas sector in Pakistan. Krogulec briefed that their company is the biggest oil & gas company in Poland and said that the main purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the business ties between Poland and Pakistan. Dr. Miftah Ismail, MOS/Chairman, BOI assured them full cooperation/support and appreciated their interest in investment in Pakistan.

He further said that BOI is mandated for promotion and provide facilitation to foreign investors with regard to arranging their meetings with the relevant Ministries/Departments as and when needed to them.

At the end Dr. Miftah Ismail, MOS/Chairman, BOI thanked Przemyslaw Krogulec and appreciated their efforts and intention with regard to boost investment and economic relations between the two countries.
