Islamabad - Success in policing affairs can be ensured through decent attitude with public which is also imperative to ensure friendly policing. This was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Islamabad, Sajid Kiani while addressing policemen during a briefing here on Wednesday. SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas, SP (City) Ahmed Iqbal, SP (Saddar) Habib Ullah Niazi, SP (Industrial Area) Rana Tahir Rehman, SDPOs, DSPs CIA and Security, SHOs, patrolling officers and cops performing duty at pickets attended the briefing. The SSP stressed for decent attitude of policemen with public for success in policing affairs and said people should be behaved in a polite manner because this gesture can win their hearts. He said that Islamabad police force is committed to providing protection and foolproof security.

The SSP said a policy of zero tolerance against corruption would be pursued as this menace seriously undermines the country. He asked the officials to demonstrate honest attitude in the whole affairs and to be sincere with the country which is our basic identity. He said that corruption, violation of merit and inefficiency would not be tolerated and those involved in such practices would be ousted from the force.

Regarding security arrangements in Ramazan, he said that all police officials would have to remain alert especially at Sehri and Iftari timings and prayers and Taraveeh hours so that safety to faithful can be ensured. Sajid Kiani stressed to make the capital more secure by accomplishing professional duties with responsibility and foiling out the nefarious designs of the mischievous elements. The SP (investigation) directed the cops performing duties at pickets to inform patrolling officer or Muharrar in case of criminals’ arrests by them instead of leaving the duty place to transfer them to respective police stations.
