Teenager commits suicide in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi - An 18-year-old son of a poor security guard ended his life by hanging himself with a tree here on Wednesday.
Police said the deceased, indentified as Mir Qasim son of Ghulam Din, was suffering from anxiety and depression.
According to Sub-Inspector Qaisar Naseer, the deceased was working on a bakery at Khawaja Corporation. He said that the boy was alone at home while his father, who is a security guard in a school, was in Murree for some official work.
He said that the father of the deceased told police that his son was patient of anxiety and depression and had also tried to commit suicide in Nowshera earlier.
Police recovered the dead body and shifted it to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) with the help of Rescue 1122 where doctors handed over the dead body to parents after conducting autopsy.
Replying to a query, Qaiser Naseer said the father of the deceased refused to get the case registered with police.
