ISLAMABAD - President Asif Zardari has appointed two senior academicians, Dr Mehmood Ahmad Ghazi and Dr Muhammad Al-Ghazali of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), as judges of the Federal Shariat Court and the Supreme Court Shariah Appellate Bench respectively. Dr Mehmood Ahmad Ghazi is presently working as Professor of the Shariah & Law at the University. He also remained President of the University for two years (2004-06) and prior to this he worked as vice president (Academics) from 1994-2004 and headed Dawah Academy of the University as its director general. Dr Muhammad Al-Ghazali is presently working as Professor of the Islamic Studies at Islamic Research Institute of the University.
