Indian water team due on 27th

LAHORE - Three-day annual meeting of Indus Water Commissioners of Pakistan and India will begin from March 28 in Lahore while the Indian delegation will reach on March 27 to participate in the talks. Pakistans Indus Water Commissioner Syed Jamaat Ali told The Nation by phone on Wednesday that the Indian delegation led by its Indus Water Commissioner G Ranganathan would arrive in Lahore this week from New Delhi to attend the meeting of the Commission. According to official sources, Syed Jamaat Ali Shah will lead the Pakistani delegation in the talks. Pakistan will raise the issue of construction of two power plants by India on Indus River while other violations of Indus Water Treaty by India will also be raised, the sources maintained.
