POF celebrates Pak Day

WAH CANTT (PR) - On the special instructions of the Chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Board, Lt General Shujaat Zamir Dar, various functions were arranged at Wah Cantt in order to Pakistan Day celebrations. In this connection, sports fair was arranged at Sports Complex Wah, in which four sports competitions were held. A Volleyball match between POF and Pakistan Army teams was played in which Pak Army defeated POF team in the best of three matches. In the Hockey match, POF Green lost by POF White. In the Badminton match, POF Green defeated POF White while in the last basketball competition POF Wah won this match by defeating POF Havelian team. Later Chief Guest Mr Tabassam Rehan, Presidents Sports Control Board, gave away prizes among the players who showed best performance, says a press release issued here on Wednesday. An other function regarding Pakistan Day was arranged at Ordnance Club Wah in which a large number of students from various schools of Wah Cantt were participated and presented national songs and tableau shows. Mr Munir Mohsin Syed Managing Director, AA Factory, was the Chief Guest. Addressing on this occasion, Chief Guest has said that 23rd March is the day of the revival of commitment and it is our responsibility to follow the footsteps of our ancestors. He further said that we should ever remain ready for the progress and solidarity of the country. At the end of function, The chief guest distributed prizes among the students.
