SIALKOT - PML (Likeminded) Chairman Hamid Nasir Chattha has urged the masses to elect honest, responsible and competent leadership through the power of vote in the upcoming general elections.

Talking to the newsmen here, he said that huge difference existed between the full time and part time politicians and dynastic politicians were better than the opportunist.

He said that ‘political opportunists’ had no interest with the masses as their politics revolved around personal gains.

On the other hand, he said that full time politicians were selfless and committed to serve the people without discrimination.

Chattha revealed that the PPP, contrary to its claim, had made the lives of the masses miserable and poor had been forced to commit suicide and sell their children due to unemployment and sky-rocketing prices.

He said that political alliance between the PML-N and PML (Likeminded) reflected politics of the federation and also was need of the hour to save the country. He vowed to defeat the PPP with the power of people’s vote under the alliance with the PML-N during the general elections, paving the way to take the country towards economic and political stability.

Cop injured, cash, gold, car snatched:  Unidentified robbers injured a policeman, snatched car, cash and gold ornaments from people in separate hits in the district here the other day.

As per detail, six unidentified robbers injured a policeman over resistance near Kot Deena Village Sambrial.

Reportedly, Constable Muhammad Akram was on the way back home after duty at Airport Police Station on motorcycle when six dacoits intercepted him. They shot at and injured him when he put up resistance.

He sustained critical injuries and was admitted at Government Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital where his condition was stated critical.

Later, the accused also deprived 14 passers-by of cash, gold ornaments and other valuables by setting up a picket on Sialkot Airport Road.

In Daska tehsil, three unidentified armed men snatched a car at gunpoint from a lawyer near village Mundeyki Goraya.

Reportedly, three armed robbers set up a picket near village Mundeyki Goraya and snatched car from a lawyer namely Muhammad Amin, a resident of Muvillage Thatha Goraya-Daska. The police have registered separate cases with no arrest.
