ISLAMABAD – Islamabad Police on Sunday claimed to arrest 10 outlaws including five proclaimed offenders (POs) from various areas of the city and recovered weapons and hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

According to details, Sub Inspectors Alamgheer and Javid Iqbal from police station Sabzi Mandi arrested two accused Shahid Ali and Mehmood Shah and recovered 1.660 kilograms hashish from their possession. ASI Abdul Ghafoor from CIA police arrested accused Sikander Hayyat and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with three cartridges from him. ASI Sulman Shah from police station Shahzad Town recovered two 30 bore pistols along with 09 cartridges from arrested accused Muhammad Nasir and Muhammad Zaheer.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

Meanwhile Secretariat, Golra, and Bhara Kahu police stations also arrested five Proclaimed offenders. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yasin Farooq have appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas to curb activities of anti-social elements.
