ISLAMABAD : Exports of leather garments reached $234 million in first seven months of current fiscal year. During fiscal year 2011-12, TDAP organised Pakistan's participation in nine trade fairs and exhibitions of leather garments and its accessories. Two fairs were allocated to Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA) in year 2011-2012 and in 2012-13 as well. In these events, 50% subsidy was provided to the trade bodies towards space rent and construction of stalls.
