Sanaullah says PPP responsible for deadlock on Punjab caretaker CM

Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Rana Sanaullah on Monday said the opposition has raised unsubstantial objections over the names proposed by his party.
Talking to media persons here in Lahore he said that the PML-N believes all four nominees for the post of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab are respectable individuals.
Sanaullah further said that he was hundred percent sure that an agreement would be reached on the names proposed by PML-N as all parties except the opposition supported their nominees.
Earlier, the six member parliamentary committee ended its second day of deliberations for the selection of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab without reaching a decision.
Rana Sanaullah, Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman and Malik Iqbal Channar were representing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, while the opposition side is represented by Shaukat Basra, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin and Zulfiqar Gondal.
While speaking to the media after the meeting PPP leader Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said the committee is close to making a decision, adding that they hope to announce the name for caretaker Chief Minister Punjab on Tuesday.
Meanwhile PPP leader Shaukat Basra said that the PML-N had raised no objections over the names proposed by the PPP.
A third session of the parliamentary committee will be held on Tuesday morning to continue deliberations for the selection of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab.
The PML-N has proposed the names of Justice (retd) Amir Raza Khan and former bureaucrat Khuwaja Zaheer while the opposition suggested names of Najam Sethi, senior journalist and political commentator, and Justice (retd) Zahid Hussain.
