NAB postpones Maryam Nawaz’s appearance

On Thursday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) postponed the hearing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz scheduled for March 26 (tomorrow) due to rising coronavirus cases.

According to a press release issued by NAB, a meeting was held today to discuss the hearing tomorrow alongside the recommendations provided by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) in surge of the third Covid wave.

The meeting decided to postpone the Maryam Nawaz hearing scheduled for March 26 as the NCOC has banned gatherings of all kinds.

Earlier in the day, the Lahore High Court rejected the NAB plea to stop PML-N Vice-president Maryam Nawaz from coming to its office in the form of a rally.

The court said in its remarks that every citizen is bound to follow the law which will come into force if any violation is committed by any individual.
