RAWALPINDI (Online) - Ex-Servicemen Society has called for immediate vacation of the Army House, impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf, his trial and  restoration of November 2 judiciary. Former ISI chief Lt-Gen (r) Assad Durrani, Lt-Gen (r) Hamid Gul and others said this while talking to the journalists after Ex-Servicemen Society's meeting here on Saturday. The meeting was held at the residence of Brig (r) Mian Mehmood, Gen (r) Aslam Beg, Lt-Gen (r) Hamid Gul, Lt-Gen (r) Jamshed Gulzar Kiani and others attended the meeting. Addressing the Press conference, Assad Durrani said President Musharraf had shed his uniform, therefore, he should immediately vacate the Army House as it is only meant for the Army Chief while the conspiracies being hatched in the Army House were creating wrong impression about the military. An independent judicial commission should be set up to review all the steps taken by the Musharraf from Kargil War to other incidents. Action should be taken against him over all the wrong steps taken by him, he demanded. He said renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan be released immediately and all the restrictions imposed on him be lifted. Responding to a question, he said the new government should take up the matter of missing persons seriously and concrete steps for their recovery should be taken. The mandate given by the people to the new government on February 18 was not being acknowledged, he regretted. To another question, he claimed Ex-Servicemen Society was being backed by 25,00,000 ex-servicemen. "Our society will participate in the ongoing movement of legal fraternity for restoration of the deposed judges," he announced. Responding to a question, he said former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz should be brought back to Pakistan and he be held accountable for the economic crisis the country was passing through. He warned of severe reaction if President Musharraf did not repeal 58-2-b.
