Govt. doesn't want clash with President: PM

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Sunday said he respects President Musharraf and the government does not want any clash with the presidency. Talking to journalists at State Guest House , Gilani said the government's constitutional package is aimed at bringing a balance among the powers of different institutions of the state. Gillani said People's Party believes in the parliamentary system of government. "After several amendments the constitution neither remains presidential nor parliamentary and the constitutional package is aimed at getting rid of that imbalance," the prime minister said. He said the draft of the constitutional package would be sent to the allied parties. He vowed restoration of the 1973 constitution as promised by the PPP with the people. He also stressed the need of negotiations for resolving the issue of Balochistan saying that the force alone cannot resolve the problem.
