ISLAMABAD: Defending champion M Munir maintained five-stroke lead over his closest rivals on the second day of the President of Pakistan Gold Medal Golf Championship here at Islamabad Golf Club on Saturday. Munir played 2-under 70 on the second day of the professional category and held total aggregate score of 137. He was followed by M Tariq, M Zubair, Shakil Fayyaz and Shabbir Iqbal in the second spot with total aggregate score of 142. Today (Sunday), President Mamnoon Hussain graced the final as chief guest. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) vice president Taimoor Hussain had made tall claims to make the event one of the bests but the mismanagement marred the event as no one was available there to provide details and results to the journalists.–Staff Reporter
