Soldier killed in border post attack

BAJAUR - A Pakistani security man was killed in an attack by a group of militants in the Bajaur tribal region on Sunday, officials in the area said.
They said dozens of heavy armed militants attacked a border security post at Ghakhi Pass along the border with Afghanistan.
An official told media men that the militants fled to the Afghan side of the border after Pakistani forces retaliated with force.
According to news agencies, the Islamic State or Daish claimed responsibility for the attack.
Daish spokesman Shahidullah Shahid told the media men by phone that the group's fighters had launched the attack at 9 am.
Cross-border attacks have been a routine; however, a substantial decrease has been witnessed in recent months.
THREE TTP TERRORISTS KILLED IN SWA
Three terrorists of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed while others managed to escape after a clash with security forces in South Waziristan Agency on Sunday.
Security sources said that the clash took place near Pak-Afghan border area in the militancy-hit South Waziristan Agency.
In exchange of fire with security forces three Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists were killed while their others cohorts managed to flee leaving behind bodies of their accomplices.
The killed terrorists were stated to be hailing from district Tank of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
MARTYRED FC SOLDIER LAID TO REST
Martyred Frontier Constabulary soldier in Data Khel North Waziristan bomb explosion has been buried in Kohat with full military honour.
Dead body of Muhammad Asif soldier of FC martyred in bomb explosion on Friday at Data Khel area of Miranshah, capital of North Waziristan, was brought to Dhoda Sharif village of Kohat and buried there with full military honour.
His funeral prayers were attended by a large number of government officers, representatives of political parties and elders of the area.
