ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan along with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Headquarters of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) here on Monday.
Director-General ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid welcomed the dignitaries.
A comprehensive briefing was given to the civil and military leadership on the regional and national security situation. The Prime Minister appreciated the diligent efforts of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for National Security and expressed his satisfaction over professional preparedness.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar were also accompanying the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on national and regional security by the DG ISI in November last year. In April 2020, Prime Minister was also given briefing during his to visit to ISI Secretariat along with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javaid Bajwa.
