Naveed who had batted outstandingly in this contest led Karachi Whites charge with an unbeaten 103 to get 160 runs needed to clinch the fixture in which Karachi Whites dominates after posting 404 in the first knock and restricting the opponents to 199 in the first innings. Naveed Khan had scored 86 in the first knock. Following on SNGPL improved their performance in the second innings by putting up a good total of 364 but that was not enough for them to avert defeat. The SNGPL spinner Adnan Rasool who had captured five wickets in first innings failed to make any impression on Karachi batsmen who reached the winning target without any bother. Though SNGPL were outplayed on the batting front but they had an outside chance if Adnan Rasool had repeated his first innings performance. But that did not happen and the points table leader SNGPL slumped to defeat conceding Karachi Whites more points that they deserved. There was hope for the SNGPL when play resumed on last day. The visitors were 353 for eight with Samiullah Niazi batting on five and Asad Ali nine not out. It was expected that the SNGPL which had 148 lead would extend that lead to make a fight. But the visitors could add only eleven runs to their overnight total in 4.2 overs making easier the task of Karachi Whites. Things may have been difficult for the home team had they lost a couple of quick wickets but the opening pair of Naveed Khan and Mohtashim Ali (46) put on 159 runs for the opening stand. When just one run was needed, Mohtashim Ali got out. Murtaza Majeed joined Naveed Khan and scored the winning run for the home team. Summarised scores. Karachi Whites first innings 404. SNGPL first innings 199. SNGPL second innings 364(Muhammad Hafeez 84,Usman Arshad 92,Adnan Kamal 61, Adnan Rasool 22,Tabish Khan 4/107,Misbah Khan 5/101).
