As we all know, there is unfortunately a good leadership vacuum in our country. I wont get into the reasons as they are well known. The focus rather should be on how this can be fixed. We have experimented many times, but to no avail. Pakistan has become a monarchy for certain groups, who have enjoyed all the regimes, whether civil or military, and in this game of musical chairs, the people of Pakistan have suffered badly. We know that any suggestion that may affect their interests will be rejected by these powerful groups, but It is the duty of our intellectuals to figure a way out of this dilemma. They have to find good leadership for the people of Pakistan. We should hold elections every three years. This would be much better than giving a govt a tenure of five years to rule.
