ISLAMABAD Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rehman Malik met separately with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani on Wednesday and discussed matters related to the internal security. The CM informed the COAS about the threadbare security situation in the province and special steps taken by the govt during the Muharram. The sources said that the Chief Minister eulogised the role of Pakistan Army in imparting anti-terrorism training to police. The Interiors Minister informed the COAS about the steps being taken by his ministry to tackle the challenges relating to terrorism. He also informed the army chief about the Governments efforts regarding the trial of the militants who had been arrested on charges of terrorism. Rehman also apprised the COAS about the security measures being adopted to thwart any untoward incident during the forthcoming Muharram.
