LAHORE Tahafuz-e-Namoose-Risalat Mahaz (TNRM) staged a protest demonstration on Wednesday against the support of President Asif Zardari and Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer for Asia Bibi, convicted for committing blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The TNRM president, Allama Razai Mustafa Naqashbandi led the protest demonstration, while Mahazs activists as well as common citizens took part in the demonstration. TNRM Chief said they would start a continuous movement namely Hate Movement 'Tehrik-e-Nafrat if the PPP and the PML-N tried to send the blasphemous Asia to Britain or America. Spokesman of TNRM Muhammad Ziaul Haq said they would soon get a 'fatwa from the religious scholars of Ahle Sunnat against the persons who were talking against the Blasphemy Act. He said TNRM would observe Black Day on Friday (tomorrow) against the soft attitude of the rulers for the blasphemous Asia Bibi. Maulana Raghib Naeemi said penalty for blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was death and the people who were talking against the Blasphemy Act were in fact appeasing their foreign masters, which would not come to rescue the rulers if the masses took to the streets regarding the issue of Asia. The TNRM leaders demanded of the OIC and UNO to bring international laws against the blasphemous persons. Meanwhile, Tehrik Hurmat-e-Rasool staged protest demonstrations across the province against the likelihood of clemency to blasphemous Asia. Maulana Ameer Hamza, Hurmats convener said large protest demonstrations staged in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Nankana Sahib and other cities of the province against the likelihood of pardon to blasphemous Asia and sending her abroad. He said anti-Islam forces nefarious designs to free the blasphemous Asia should be enough and a strong message for the scattered 'Ummah, which should get united a single umbrella to counter the anti-Islam designs. The Tehrik would hold a meeting today (Thursday) to chalk out a strategy for countering any move to send Asia abroad and eliminating the Blasphemy Act. The meeting would be attended by other religious and political parties also and the leaders of Tehrik and other religious and political parties would make public their strategy through a media briefing after the meeting. Moreover, Aalmi Jamaat Ahle Sunnat in an emergency meeting has issued a fatwa declaring Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer as 'apostate for raising his voice to free the blasphemous Asia and Taseer would remain apostate till the time he would not ask for forgiveness about this great sin. The fatwa came in a meeting of the religious scholars at the office of Aalmi Jamaat Ahle Sunnat with Sahibzada Allama Pir Syed Mustafa Asharf Rizvi in the chair. In another development, Muthidda Tehrik Khatam-e-Naboat has announced to support the protest call of religious parties on Friday (tomorrow) against the possibilities of clemency to blasphemous Asia and sending her abroad.
