Wakeup call for all Muslims

World is watching the Israel militarily pounding relentlessly on the Gaza strip killing over 100 people in the last 5 days while around two hundred are injured. A Palestine military commander has also been killed along with his men when his car was targeted three days back by Israel air force bombers and since then Israel has embarked upon inflicting more damage to Palestinians who are neither armed nor equipped as the Israelis
Israel certainly has much more attacking power than its opponent. Palestine which has little counter attack capabilities looks at the aggressive and barbaric mentality of Dan Meridor, Deputy Prime Minister of Israel, who ordered these attacks. Adding fuel to the fire he said he was recalling 30,000 reserve troops to join and augment the combating force.
In addition to the ground attacks, air bombardment which is being carried out almost 24 hours, without any lull for the last five days has already created havoc. Thousands of people including old, children and women have become homeless and under the given alarming and grim situation they are obliged to take shelter in a safe place. Countless residential buildings in particular and others in general have been hit raising them to the ground
The other day Egyptian Prime Minister was there to witness the carnage himself, not that it helped anyone, but at least one head of a country was there to wipe their tears. Egypt has called back its ambassador from Tel Aviv. Egyptian President phoned Pakistan Prime Minister yesterday and discussed the present hostility between Israel and Palestine, but the question is how did such conversation change the ground realities for the Palestinians?
What would have happened had the Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister not gone to Gaza? What relief did Palestine receive when the Egyptian President phoned our PM? Muslim countries, including Pakistan, must wake up and realize the fact that only meetings, conferences and condemnation will not solve the problem, and we should show our firm belief that Israel needs to be kept at bay.
When will all the Muslim nations unite to stand against a small piece of land, illegally occupied by the Jews, who are terrorizing Muslims countries who are powerful and oil rich? Have we all lost faith in our religion and our values, that we can sit back and enjoy life, while our Muslim brothers undergo such atrocities at the hands of the Jews in Israel? We can bring the world to its knees, and halt all the traffic in the world, if we unite and decide not to export any oil, till this issue is resolved, but we are acting like old men with no teeth!
The ongoing battle will increase with time as American President has put the blame on Palestine. President Obama has already announced that Palestine must not shoot artillery on Israel; his statement will give boost to the Israelis who will become more aggressive. US has always taken Israel’s side against Palestine and it is next to impossible for it to change its stance and this demands that many Muslim countries, if not all the Muslim countries, must join hands to support Palestine, both with cash and military hardware and troops, so that it serves as deterrence to Israel
