KARACHI - Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that Pakistan's rulers, patriotic political and religious parties, and notables of all schools of thought will have to distinguish between friends and enemies of humanity.
He said that they have to unite against the beasts who were killing innocent people belonging to all schools of thoughts.
He expressed these views while taking to members of MQM's elected representatives from Pakistan and members of different departments.
He further said that ruthless terrorists who have slaughtered our personnel of Army and security forces and had attacked our defence installations, mosques, Imambargahs and shrines and killed our innocent citizens were enemies of humanity.
He said that religious and political parties who support these enemies of humanity and did not condemn their brutal acts were also enemies of humanity too.
Altaf Hussain urged people belonging to all schools of thoughts to put aside their differences and unite against these enemies of humanity and boycott them. He said that it was the height of hypocrisy that they stage protest demos against American drone attacks and begged for US aid too.  He also discussed the current situation of Pakistan including the measures that could be done for pan-Islamism, and sectarian harmony and religious tolerance in the country.
He deplored that Pakistan was facing serious internal and external threats, and people were facing problems of hunger, unemployment, health problems and other issues. He asked the elected representatives to work for the solution of the problems faced by people and pay attention to legislation so that people could get justice easily.
Meanwhile, Vatican's Ambassador H.E. Msgr. Edgar Pena Parra and his Deputy Head of mission Fr Tomilav Ukez with his delegation called on MQM`s Coordination Committee at MQM's headquarters Nine Zero here on Sunday. Various issues including the national and international issues of mutual interest and protection of the minorities in Pakistan came under discussion.
Both sides stressed the need of interfaith harmony among different religious communities.
