NANKANA SAHIB - District and Sessions Judge Rana Nisar on Monday ordered the police to register a case against Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for inciting violence in his speech made during the PTI public meeting in Nankana.
The court ordered registration of case against Sh Rasheed under Anti-Terrorism Act for allegedly inciting violence during his speech here on Nov 12.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Youth Wing District president Imtiaz Ahmed Kahlon filed a petition in the District and Sessions Court, seeking registration of a case against Sh Rasheed for using abusive language in his speech.
During the speech, Rasheed incited the youth in general and PTI workers and supporters in particular to start a “kill, burn” campaign and throw the government out.
He had also warned the government of "judo karate" in case an attempt was made to restrict PTI's November 30 rally in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, talking to a private TV, Sh Rasheed said that he was ready for such type of cases against him as he was the voice of 180 million people of Pakistan.
He said that if he was arrested, he would gladly go to prison, adding he was not afraid of such cases.
