Lahore - Humaima Malik, who has earned many accolades to her name, is now set to attend the Pakistan Film Festival taking place in December in New York.
She has bagged the Best Actress award in 11th Lux Style Award 2012 for her poignant performance in the film Bol (2011). Additionally, she achieved another feather in her hat, by receiving one more international award at London Asian Film Festival 2012, beating contestants like Shilpa Shetty, Frieda Pinto and Shabana Azmi.
Not one to shy away from the limelight, the stunning artist was also nominated in the South Asian Rising Star Film Awards 2012 in New York, as a Best Lead Actress, for her remarkable role in Bol. The nominees for the category had four Indian actresses, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Parineeti Chopra, Rasika Dugal and Preeti Desai.
Malick’s outstanding achievements do not just end here. Her moving performance in Bol never stopped enthusing the audience and critics through which she earned rave appraisals and crowns. Once again, she was nominated in another foreign platform, Asia Pacific Screen awards 2012 (APSAs), in Best Actress category, against Indian Actress Vidya Balan.
