LAHORE - The Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU)-organised the level-I refereeing course for all Punjab rugby referees here at a local hotel on Thursday. Referee Educator from Sri Lanka Dilroy Fernaindo came to Pakistan to conduct a series of refereeing courses and held the first one here.

 PRU president Fawzi Kahwaja, head coach Shakeel Ahmed, manager education and coach Syed Mozzam Ali Shah were also present there. Dilroy told the referees about the basics of rugby and how to conduct a rugby match.

 About Pakistani people, the visiting international referee said: “People of Lahore are very loving and caring. A very warm hospitality I have received from the PRU is really remarkable. I am very happy to see a good progress of rugby in Pakistan, as this game has been gaining popularity here with each passing day.”
