SADIQABAD -Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah termed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) a party of martyrs, saying its top leadership - Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto - sacrificed their lives for democratic stability in the country.

He stated this during a meeting with PPP leader Mumtaz Ali Khan Chang at Karachi, according to the press release issued by the PPP local office.

“The PPP is being organized under the leadership of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and it would sweep the next general election,” the chief minister claimed. The Singh CM also informed Mumtaz Ali Chang about mega uplift projects completed during the PPP government. “The PPP government has spared no effort to improve living standard of the people of Sindh,” he claimed. Future belongs to the PPP, he added.

The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) Multan claimed to have arrested a human trafficker from Sadiqabad city the other day.

According to the FIA sources, the operation was conducted on a complaint submitted to FIA authorities by a citizen, Akbar. An FIA team led by Mumtaz Qureshi raided hideout of the trafficker near Chorangi-12 and arrested him. The accused identified as Waheed was responsible for swindling the complainant out of Rs600,000 on the pretext of sending him abroad. Moreover, he fraudulently sent Akbar to Saudi Arabia on visit visa where the latter was arrested and served time in jail after the visa expired.

It is to be noted that locals surrounded the FIA vehicle on arrest of Waheed. A City police contingent reached the spot and broke the ‘siege’. The accused was then shifted to Multan.
