Swift announces UK Tour

LOS ANGELES-Swift will be playing three massive dates in the UK and Ireland in June next year.

Taylor Swift has revealed a series of tour dates in the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2018, in support of her latest album Reputation.

The American pop megastar is playing three huge gigs in June next year, starting on 8th June at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium before moving on to Dublin’s Croke Park on 15th June and finishing at London’s Wembley Stadium on 22nd June.

The significant dates between the gigs indicate that either Swift is planning an immensely complex stage set, or is intending to unveil further live dates in between, either elsewhere in the United Kingdom or on mainland Europe.

Tickets will be going on sale to the general public on Friday December 1st, but subscribers to Swift’s official website will be given priority access two days earlier on Wednesday November 29th.

Fans will also be able to jump further up the queue for tickets as part of a groundbreaking (and controversial) arrangement with Ticketmaster, in which “boost activities” – like buying merchandise, sharing official tweets and watching music videos – will gain better access to tickets. Fans have until November 28th to sign up to the site.

Two weeks ago, Swift dropped her highly anticipated sixth album Reputation, which is sitting at the top of album charts around the world, the follow-up to her multi-platinum record 1989 that was released three years ago.

Its lead single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, became the most-streamed song ever in 24 hours, with its lyric video very quickly racking up 19 million views and the actual video 43.2 million views in a day, as well as being the subject of countless think-pieces in the press.

Swift last toured the United Kingdom in 2015, with huge dates in Manchester, Dublin and London as well as a Scottish date in Glasgow.
