Work on the construction of 81 kilometre-long Swat Motorway is in full swing.

Project Director Swat Motorway Engineer Barkatullah said on Sunday, the motorway will be completed at a cost of 41 billion rupees by May 2019.

He said it will be linked with Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway at Karnal Sher Khan Interchange near Swabi. The project is being constructed under a public private partnership, he added.

On completion, the motorway will boost tourism, trade and economic activities in Malakand division.
