PESHAWAR - About 35 personalities of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and 50 from FATAs different influential circles are on the list of those whose huge loans from banks were waived off on political basis in the previous government. The list of beneficiaries of loan waivers sent to the Supreme Court of Pakistan includes 35 persons from Khyber Pukhtunkhwa including politicians, bureaucrats and industrialists. The heads of different banks in the province have sent lists to head offices stating that out of total 35 persons whose loans were waived off 25 are politicians and remaining bureaucrats. These persons belonging to different political parties including MNAs, MPAs, Senators, provincial and national party leaders were defaulting loans of rupees two trillion to five trillion. About 50 political and industrialist personalities from Federally Administered Areas are also among the beneficiaries of political favouritism whose loans to the tune of three trillion to seven trillion Pakistani rupees were waived off. Out of these total 85 persons from northern Pakistan, 25 are no more in this world. Many of these personalities have many factories to their credit in different parts of the province and FATA. Their trillions of rupees loans were waived off on the pretext that their factories were running in financial loss.
