SHEIKHUPURA - The Lesco caught 135 persons stealing electricity during a crackdown on power pilferers and put them behind the bars.

According Lesco officials, different teams carried out an operation Faizpur and Sharqpur sub-divisions to check electricity.

Duirng inspection, the officials found 135 persons stealing electricity. The officials got registered cases against them at the respective police stations. Four other villagers were also arrested for putting up resistance during the operation.

They were identified as Ashraf, Inayat, Ishaq and Rehmat. The Sharqpur and Factory area police have started investigation.
