Faisalabad to get ‘Women’ soon

AISALABAD-A World Bank-funded programme “Women” will be launched here soon to enhance the professional skills and capabilities of female entrepreneurs.
Gerrit Ribbink, technical team leader of “Enclude” in a meeting at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) said that initially the project was launched in Karachi and Islamabad with the technical support of the centre for entrepreneurial development (CED) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Minding HER Business (MHB).
The programme was launched in 2013-14 and during its first phase training was imparted to more than 300 female entrepreneurs. The phase was restricted to the lectures in classrooms, in its second phase, industrial support was provided.
He said that the programme will conclude during the current year and “now we are planning to launch this programme in Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot. During this programme, training will be imparted to another 400 female entrepreneurs of these cities including 120 from Faisalabad.
