Cuba’s music and food wow Lahoris

LAHORE-The first day of two- day extravaganza fiesta Cubana festival featuring musician, dancers, Cuban cuisine and a cigar roller kicked off the other day at Pearl continental hotel.

A group performance by Cuban artistes mesmerized the audience with the rhythms of Havana celebrating the rich diversity of their culture. The audience was also delighted when two dancers, Ivonne Herrera Manresa and Reinaldo Jesús Baró Ruiz, joined the band and starting performing salsa dance in front of the music lovers. The event was attended by music enthusiasts, socialites, media personalities and diplomats. 

Reflective of their vibrant culture, the food festival offered a slice of Cuban cuisine that combines traditional flavours with a unique flair.

Guest Chef Gioelkis Sosa Hernandez from Cuba and the Executive Chef of PCHL Chef Jayaweera, along with their teams offered mothering-watering delights from the exquisite cuisine.

During the festival, only the finest and freshest ingredients were used to create an exotic menu that combines healthy eating with tasty flavours, bringing native ingredients to serve the most authentic dishes to all lovers of the unique Cuban cuisine.

The mouth-watering dishes to be served at the festival were chicken fricassee, breaded shrimp, crevettes, enchilada lobster, steak in casserole to name a few.

It was a treat for all the cigar lovers when they had a chance to taste new cigars, roll their own leaves and experience firsthand the secrets of a deep rooted centuries old tradition.
