QUETTA - At least 10 people were killed when a Taftan-bound Quetta passenger bus collided with a trailer coming from the opposite side in Chagai on Tuesday. The accident also left 29 others wounded. According to Levies, the accident took place in Laghap area of Dalbandin, a tehsil of district Chagai when a Taftan-bound Quetta passenger bus collided with trailer. Two women were also among dead.

Shortly after the incident, rescue teams, police, Levies and FC along with locals arrived and shifted the dead bodies and wounded to Prince Fahad Hospital, where the hospital reportedly offered inadequate healthcare facilities. The reports revealed that more than 20 patients with serious wounds were referred to Quetta. “The accident took place due to overspeeding for which investigation is underway,” said Muhammad Shyak Baloch, the Deputy Commissioner Chagai.  The tragic news of bus-trailer collision was spread in the city like wild fire and a large number of people reached hospital.
