Pakistan can be made welfare state by acting upon Objectives Resolution

LAHORE The Editor-in-Chief TheNation and Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami has said that Pakistan can be made an Islamic democratic welfare state only by acting upon Objectives Resolution. He was condemning those who handed over Dr Afia Siddaqui to America saying may Allah Almighty curse on them who sold the daughter of Pakistan to the US. Majid Nizami said this while addressing the 22nd Ideological Training Workshop of various Higher Secondary Schools teachers at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Friday. The teachers from Faisalabad and Sarghoda attended the workshop while Vice-Chairman NPT Dr Rafique Ahmad, Prof Sharif Baqa and Prof Sarfraz Mirza also addressed on the occasion. He said that sincere and patriotic leadership elected by the people could bring the real change in the country adding the development could only be achieved by getting rid of the unrest situation. He said the country was entangled in disturbing law and order situation and there was unrest everywhere. The women were not save in their homes, he added. He said Pervez Musharraf wanted to make a new Muslim League while the fact was that every dictator used ML for its own interest. Majid Nizami said that had there remained democracy, there would not have been the present situation. He said that the Quaid-e-Azam wanted to make Pakistan a laboratory of Islam but we turned it into the laboratory of Generals, he added. Majid Nizami paid glowing tribute to late Ghulam Hyder Wyne, the former Chief Minister Punjab and told the teachers about the services of the NPT and for what purpose the late Wyne had constructed it. He informed them about the difficulties faced by the Muslims during British period saying had there been Hindu rulers after British government, the Muslims would have been slaves. Jinnah cap should be given official status and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif should order to include the Two-Nation Theory into curriculum, Majid Nizami demanded. He urged the teachers to inform the youth about the ideology of Pakistan. Answering a question, he said that through legislation we could get rid of feudal system but for this purpose there must be elected people from middle class in the parliament, he added. Dr Rafique Ahmad urged teachers to establish Nazria Pakistan Societies at their institutions and said the teachers should follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) while teaching. He said the ideology of Pakistan was the ideology of Islam. He said the creation of moral values and abilities among the students was the real duty of the teachers. He informed them about the services of the NPT. Other speakers delivered lectures about Pakistan Movement and present situation of Pakistan and whole Islamic world. They informed teachers about ideological boundaries of the country. They urged the teachers to raise the real passion about Islam and Pakistan among the students. They were of the view that teachers could change a nation and could make Pakistan an invincible state.
