LAHORE (PR) - Thousand of WAPDA electricity workers demonstrated against price-hike of essential commodities and demanded the upgradation of pay scale of grid station staff alike ministerial staff and grant of special allowance. They urged the President and Prime Minister to intervene to defeat the conspiracies of the World Bank for breaking power wing into various companies which would be against the national interest and give rise to inter-provincial dispute on power tariff alike the inter-provincial dispute over water distribution among provinces. The rally was held at Nisbat Road, Lahore, and was addressed by Khurshid Ahmed, General Secretary of the Union.
