RAWALPINDI - An anti-terrorism court (ATC) here on Saturday, while accepting the plea of Begum Sehba Musharraf, issued notice to the government and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here on Saturday. Begum Sehba Musharraf, wife of former President General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, had filed an application in the court on October 16, 2011 to unfreeze the seized properties and bank accounts of her hubby in Benazir Bhutto murder case. ATC No. 1 Judge Shahid Rafique, while taking up the proceeding of the case, directed the state and FIA to submit their reply in this regard on next date of hearing and postponed the case till October 8, 2011. On the other hand, FIA Prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar, while talking to media men, said that the gift deed provided by Begum Sehba Musharraf to ATC that his hubby gifted to her the property in 2008 has no legal validity. Telling the reason, FIA Prosecutor said that the property was still on the name of General (Retd) Musharraf in the record of Capital Development Authority (CDA). Zulfiqar Chaudhry said, If Musharraf has transferred his property to his wife as gift then he should have informed CDA.
