OUR STAFF REPORTER HUJRA SHAH MUQEEM - A BSc student of adjacent village Vijhlana died of dengue fever in Sheikh Zaid Hospital Lahore. The patient was admitted to hospital for medical treatment after she was diagnosed as having been suffering from dengue fever. The parents wept bitterly over the sad demise and fuss was created in the whole area because of the horrible disease. According to detail, Fatima, daughter of Ghulam Mustafa was studying in Lahore College for Women in BSc discipline. She was suddenly attacked by dengue fever. She was rushed to Sheikh Zaid Hospital Lahore where she was tested positive for dengue with low platelet counts. However, she died after remaining under treatment for couple of days. The death shocked people of the entire area and spread panic about the fatal disease. BA classes started in Govt College: Improving individuals and groups abilities to solve problems and make decisions is recognized as an important issue in education. Govt College Principal Sikandar Ali Wattoo took revolutionary steps to improve deplorable condition of the college. The college was established by then premier Mian Nawaz Sharif as a degree college. But no serious efforts were taken to upgrade its status. The people of the area time and again requested the Edu Dept to upgrade it to graduation. The College principal took serious steps and started graduation classes.
