OUR STAFF REPORTER SARGODHA - The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and police jointly launched a cattle-eviction campaign here in the city on Saturday. The District Government Administrator has declared that all kinds of animals would be shifted out of the municipal limits of the city on emergent basis and warned that stern legal action would be taken against those who resisted or refused to remove cattle from the city. As per detail, the tendency to keep cattle in residential areas was increasing phenomenally. Cattle are major source of pollution in the city as their waste blocks sewage lines, which creates a good breeding ground for dengue mosquitoes and different diseases like trans-boundary animal diseases (TADs), participating disease surveillance (PDS) and foot and mouth disease. Furthermore, stray animals on roads interrupt the flow of traffic and are one of the main causes of accidents.
