For many years past we witnessed our children playing with toy cars operated by remote control but never knew such vehicles having made access on public roads. The Karachi carnage that destroyed the house of SSP (CID) Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam killing eight people is the tragic incident in question. The press report of the Taliban attack stated that 'a Taliban suicide bomber drove an explosives-laden car into the home of a senior police official in Karachi. The vehicle which carried at least 300 kg of explosives rammed into the house of Crime Investigation Department (CID) SSP claiming eight lives and wounding many others. The Interior Minister Rahman Malik has, however, surprised the whole nation by declaring that It was not a suicide attack. We should be thankful to Mr. Rahman Malik for informing us that the Taliban have acquired some ultra-dangerous weapons like the 'remote controlled vehicles God save Pakistan.
