ISLAMABAD - France has condemned the heinous attack on a church in Peshawar. A press statement issued by the Embassy of France on Tuesday said, "France condemns heinous attack on a church in Peshawar. France offered condolences to the victims' loved ones and reiterates its full solidarity with the authorities and the Pakistani people in the face of terrorism. France asks the Pakistani government to take all necessary measures to protect the populations targeted by these attacks."

UK home secretary visits ANF academy

Home Secretary of the United Kingdom (UK), Theresa May, visited Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Academy, Islamabad, informed spokesman here on Tuesday.

Director General ANF Major General Malik Zafar Iqbal welcomed the respected guest upon her arrival. Significant points highlighted during the discussion including role of ANF, cooperation on narcotics issues, achievements made and assurance for close liaison in future. Later, the Home Secretary witnessed a demonstration of vehicle search by ANF officials and canine unit.

It is pertinent to mention that in recent past, ANF and Drugs Law Enforcement of UK has developed close cooperation, which resulted in numerous seizures both in Pakistan and England.

The joint working and sharing of expertise between the two countries will certainly result in addressing the drugs menace more seriously.
