COAS for unflinching resolve to serve nation

ISLAMABAD - Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) Raheel Sharif has advised the officers and soldiers to continue serving the nation working with army's traditional unflinching resolve and utmost dedication.
Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif visited Gilgit on Wednesday and attended an annual commanding officers conference held at the Northern Light Infantry Regimental Centre Bunji. Addressing the troops of NLI Regiment, the COAS appreciated the high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by army along the most challenging frontline.  According to ISPR, on arrival, the chief of army staff laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defence of their motherland.
Later, the army chief also met with war veterans and inquired about their well being and commended their services for the country. The COAS also pinned badges to formally install Lieutenant General Ikramul Haq as new Colonel Commandant NLI Regiment.
Earlier, on his arrival at the regimental centre, Gen Raheel was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Lieutenant General Ikramul Haq, Inspector General Training and Evaluation.
