Rawalpindi - The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) and the Turkish company Al-Barak have distributed 25 tonnes shopping bags free of cost among citizens in Rawal and Potohar Towns to dispose of offal of sacrificial animals.
The RWMC and the Albarak have also hired 54 dumpers, 14 loaders, 128 mini dumpers and 233 vehicles for lifting and disposing of sacrificial animals during the three days of Eid-ul-Azha.
RWMC Managing Director Irfan Qureshi said that 4,000 tonnes waste and offal were likely to be disposed of on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha, 2,000 tonnes on the second day and 1,500 tonnes on the third day.
Citizens could also contact the RWMC on helpline 1139 round-the-clock to attend to their complaints.
