ISLAMABAD - The training camp of the national junior hockey team will be commenced from Sunday (today) here at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex. Only eight players reported for the camp so far. The team will be prepared for upcoming mega junior hockey event, Junior Hockey World Cup 2009, which will be held from June 7 to 21 at Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Singapore simultaneously. The training camp will be established in two sessions and it will run under the supervision of Head Coach Kawaja Junaid and Danish Kaleem will assist him while Ahmed Alam will be goalkeeper coach. Member selection committee Rana Mujahid will also observe the training camp at Pakistan Sports Board. Names of the invited players: Imran Shah, Imran Butt, Khurram Majeed, Kashif Ali, Muhammad Ateeq, Khalid Bhatti, Wasif Siddique, Muhammad Irfan, Zaheer Ahmad, Amir Shahzad, Fareed Ahmad, Muhammad Rashid, Usman Tariq, Mohsin Bilal, Shafqat Rasool, Muhammad Zubair, Inayat Ullah, Abdul Haseem Khan, Muhammad Taufeeq, Muhammad Yasir, Muhammad Rizwan, Shahbaz Ali, Omer Bhutta, Hassan Akhtar, Adeel Hussain, Sibtain Raza, Zeeshan Ali, Waqas Sharif, Waqas Akbar, Salman Loosy, Abbas Haider, Aqeel Bhatti, Waqas Butt and Adnan Javed.
