KARACHI - Pakistan Coast Guard on Wednesday claimed of seizing 6,600 bottles of imported liquor at Gaddani sea area. According to the PCG spokesman, a team of PCG gets information for reliable sources for smuggling of huge quantity of foreign brand liquor into Pakistan. Coast Guard beefed up the security of the coastal area, during sea patrolling at night PCG officials spotted a suspicious boat near Bubble hill at Gaddani sea area. On seeing PCG officials’ boats, the smugglers try to flee from the site. After chasing of about half hour, the PCG officials rounded up the Launch and confiscated it. After search, the PCG team recovered 6,600 bottles of foreign brand liquor and also arrested five smugglers along with their boat. Further investigation is underway by the special investigation team to unearth the gang in this unsuccessful liquor smuggling attempt.
